TheJim and Eleanor Randall Department of Surgery at Cedars-Sinai has opened the search for a Division Director of Breast Surgical Oncology.
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking leader to serve as Division Director of Breast Surgical Oncology. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in breast surgical oncology, demonstrate effective leadership skills and team building ability, a strong academic and research record, and a commitment to excellence in patient care. The Division Director will be responsible for shaping the future of our breast surgical oncology services, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving strategic growth initiatives within the institution.
The Saul and Joyce Brandman Breast Center, a project of the Women’s Guild at Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute, cares for patients newly diagnosed with breast cancer, at high risk for breast cancer and breast cancer survivors. The breast faculty work in a dedicated breast center with state-of-the-art imaging alongside a premier radiology team and have access to multidisciplinary specialists with clinical and research interests in breast cancer. Patients have access to expert surgeons, nurse navigators, genetic counseling, supportive services and clinical trials found only at Cedar-Sinai. Moreover, the breast center recently opened the Cayton-Goldrich BRCA center, the first of its kind, multispecialty clinic for BRCA patients.
The Division currently consists of eleven faculty who have expertise in breast surgical oncology. The Director will have oversight and responsibilities for all breast surgical oncology services offered at the main medical center and affiliate locations. Faculty provide expert clinical care, train medical students, general surgery residents, as well as fellows in the Society of Surgical Oncology-approved breast surgical oncology fellowship as well as fellows in an ACGME complex surgical oncology fellowship.
At Cedars-Sinai Cancer, we offer state-of-the-art treatments, experimental therapies, next-generation research, and cutting-edge clinical trials for over sixty types of cancer at more than ten locations throughout Greater Los Angeles. There are over 200 clinical trials available to patients at any given time.

Qualifications
- Medical Degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certification in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery (or equivalent) and specialty training or experience in breast surgical oncology.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CSMC Medical Staff Membership.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an unrestricted California license as Physician and Surgeon.
- A published author of peer reviewed articles, with ability to serve as principal or co-investigator.
- Eligible for recommendation to the appropriate academic rank to the Medical Center’s professoriate series.
- A track record of excellence in teaching, patient care, leadership, and administration.
We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. We also offer a comprehensive faculty benefits package. Pay Range: $552,000 - $760,000,000 total cash compensation.
