The Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation is seeking Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our best-in-class Neurology Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Will provide support to three (3) providers and assist with in-basket management for multiple providers along with another APP.
- Will perform post in-patient Neurology consults.
- Discharge follow-up visits including general neuro follow up visits.
- Will perform new patient consults.
- Will perform procedures including Botox, Trigger Point Injections, Occipital Nerve Blocks, and Skin Biopsies.
Please note:
- There will be no calls or weekends with this position
- This is a 5/8’s position, Monday through Friday
- Position located in Marina Del Rey, however, APP will travel Beverly Hills office temporarily during training period
- Experienced candidates encouraged to apply - Neurology experience is strongly preferred
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
For Nurse Practitioners:
- Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the Board of Registered Nursing
- Master’s Degree in Nursing is required
- Nurse Practitioner certification is required
License/Certification Requirements:
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State of California.
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certificate or eligible to obtain.
- Furnishing number issued by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
- National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioner
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

- Graduate from an accredited PA program required
License/Certification:
- Current unrestricted Physician Assistant license issued by the State of California required
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certificate required
- Basic Life Support certificate from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license required
Experience:
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) strongly preferred.
- Experienced candidates encouraged to apply - Neurology experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required.
- Ability to work with multiple physicians is required.
- Ability to support and work cross-functionally is required.
