Job Description:

Relieves the radiologic technologists of such clerical duties as typing forms, filing, logging daily patients' work, and mailing reports and disposition of films when required by physicians or insurance companies. Responsible for scheduling imaging procedures, provides patients with appropriate forms and performs other duties as assigned.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedules appointments for daily patient workload, processes daily data reports and checks end-of-the-month statistical recaps.
  • Schedules appointments with physician’s offices for outpatients.
  • Maintains daily patient schedule.
  • Assigns the proper patient consent form, if an injectable study is to be performed.
  • Files and charts medical reports and related materials.
  • Prepares monthly record for total studies performed, as required.
  • May assist with transporting patients to and from the department.
  • Helps maintain the equipment and assists in cleaning the department, except for those duties pertaining directly to the Environmental Services personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Shift Time: 7:00am-3:30pm

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • High School diploma/General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.

License/Certifications:

  • Current BLS certification (preferred)

Experience:

  • Six months related experience (preferred)
