It drives the execution of strategic healthcare initiatives, including large-scale IT implementations (like Epic), clinical infrastructure build-outs, and cross-departmental investments.

What will you be doing in this role:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning and coordinating all activities necessary to implement various information systems, including managing the following project responsibilities: system requirements definition, process and/or workflow redesign, vendor evaluation and contract negotiation (if applicable), implementation coordination with operations and other EIS departments and more specifically projects driven by the Enterprise Data Infrastructure team. Responsible for developing and managing detailed project budgets and schedules, status reports, project PowerPoint presentations, and escalation of critical issues.  Coordinates communication between all project team members and operational partners ensures vendor responsiveness and compliance with the terms of the contract (if applicable) and coordinates initial user training/transition to an ongoing user support group. Mentors and assists junior staff on more complex projects.

  • End to end project management (from intake and discovery to execution and post-go-live operations)
  • Facilitation of key decisions and executive strategic and operational planning
  • Management and oversight of major project portfolios, including Data Infrastructure Modernization, Cloud Migrations, CPO Clinic expansions
  • Portfolio and intake support, including evaluation and prioritization of new project requests
  • Strategic planning and operational alignment activities with business and technical leaders
  • Vendor relationship management, including participation in product roadmap discussions and coordination of issue resolution
  • Mentoring and coaching junior project managers and team members on project management methodologies and best practices
  • Continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery, governance, and operational efficiency
  • Participation in departmental committees, leadership meetings, organizational initiatives, and special assignments
  • Professional development activities to maintain knowledge of healthcare technology, project management methodologies, and industry trends
  • Support of go-live readiness activities and occasional after-hours coordination during critical implementations

    *Prefer someone living locally or willing to relocate to LA area, but open to remote in Approved States: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon, Texas*

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

Three (3) plus years of experience managing system implementations, preferably in a healthcare organization.

Demonstrated experience in project management, scope, cost, time, risk, quality, and communication using Project Management Institute and/or Information Technology Infrastructure Library Foundation principles.

Educational/Certification Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED required.

Bachelor’s degree in health care, business, or technical field highly preferred.

PMP (Project Management Professional) and/or Scrum Master Certification preferred.
