What you be doing in this role:
The Patient Liaison is responsible for providing efficient, personalized high-level services to patients to facilitate access to all institutional clinical services and ensure a positive patient experience. This individual serves as a designated patient navigator for patients ensuring timely access to services and providing information and resources to patients. The Patient Liaison researches and stays current on Cedars-Sinai specialty services and provides that information to the patient, assists with medical record requests, pre-admission paperwork, appointment/test/procedure scheduling and follow-up, and provides beneficial personalized high-level concierge services to ensure patient satisfaction. The individual must understand and demonstrate cultural sensitivity:
- Serves as liaison between Cedars-Sinai specialty programs and patients
- Provides patients with details on their care plans, ensures timely scheduling of clinical appointments and arranges for all non-patient care services.
- Accompanies patients to appointments and visits patients while in the hospital and provides assistance in navigating CSMC systems and processes
- Ensures that all non-clinical needs are being arranged/met
- Manages the post discharge process for patients, including but not limited to, ensuring patients receive copies of medical reports, physician instructions and discharge prescriptions
Qualifications
Requirements:
High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related major preferred.
A minimum of 2 years' experience functioning in a concierge/liaison role or equivalent required.
