Cedars-Sinai, a renowned healthcare organization, is seeking a highly motivated and accomplished individual to join our prestigious team as a Nurse Practitioner – Liver Transplant. This is a remarkable opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care and contribute to pioneering advancements in the field. You will be delivering exceptional care to patients with chronic acute liver disease in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver flawless care to patients in the Hepatology Transplant department.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic test interpretations.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and effectively communicate them to patients and their families.
- Perform procedures such as staple and suture removal, surgical wound care, and wound vac dressing changes as needed.
- Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction.
- Actively participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to advance patient outcomes.
- Provide patient education on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
Qualifications
Education:
- Master’s of Nursing Degree (MSN) required
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required
License/Certification:
- Current State of California Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing License required
- National certification as an NP required
- Current BLS certification
- DEA license required
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years working in acute care nursing OR 2 years serving as a Nurse Practitioner required
- Experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred
- Experience with transplant or hepatology patients desired
