Summary of Essential Duties:
- As a Transplant Coordinator, Transplant Services, you will assist the Nurse Practitioner/Transplant Coordinator in the coordination of post-transplant care, retrieval of diagnostic work-up, and data entry into CS Link
- Serves as a patient advocate throughout the transplant process
- Maintains competency skills including the ability to deliver care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds
- Identify the ability of the adolescent, adult and geriatric patients to follow instructions and give consent
- Identify safety concerns and institute measures to provide a safe environmental and provide appropriate assessment, intervention and evaluation of patients
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
- BSN
License/Certification:
- Current, unrestricted California RN license required
- BLS, ACLS & PALS from the American Heart Association required
- Certified Transplant Coordinator certification preferred (or willing to obtain within one year from start date)
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 year of acute care nursing experience required
