Job Description

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking an outstanding Pediatric Hospitalist to help shape the future of inpatient pediatric care within one of the nation's leading health systems. We welcome applications from exceptional early-career physicians as well as established academic hospitalists interested in clinical excellence, medical education, quality improvement, and program leadership.

For mid-career candidates with demonstrated leadership experience or administrative potential, protected leadership opportunities are available in areas including quality, patient safety, clinical operations, and program development.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver outstanding evidence-based inpatient care on our newly designed 26-bed pediatric medical-surgical unit.

  • Partner closely with pediatric subspecialists in a collaborative tertiary/quaternary care environment.

  • Teach and mentor pediatric residents and medical students within an expanding academic program.

  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, clinical innovation, and multidisciplinary initiatives.

  • Contribute to the continued growth and strategic direction of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Guerin Children's.

  • For experienced candidates, assume administrative leadership responsibilities with opportunities to develop programs, improve operations, and mentor junior faculty.

Qualifications

Successful candidates for this position must demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse group of hospital and academic department partners using a collaborative approach. Other qualities include a commitment to excellence in patient care, and commitment to medical education.

Required Education/Certifications:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent 

  • Board Certification or Board Eligible in Pediatrics

  • Eligible for unrestricted California Physician medical license

  • Eligible for appointment to the appropriate academic rank in the CSMC Professorial Series

  • Excellent clinical, teaching, and communication skills

Our compensation philosophy:

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.  This total pay range includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. We also offer a comprehensive faculty benefits package.

Pay Range: $227,000 - $334,800 Total Cash Compensation
